Growing up in the Seattle hockey community, Marah understands firsthand what it means to chase big goals coming from a non-traditional hockey market, and she is passionate about giving back to the next generation of girls in the game. Marah played NCAA Division I hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she served as assistant captain before becoming team captain during her senior and graduate seasons. Prior to RPI, she played at Robert Morris University, helping the program win a conference championship in 2021. After graduating with a degree in Biology in 2024, she continued her career professionally in Sweden’s top women’s league, the Swedish Women's Hockey League, playing for Skellefteå AIK. Through her experiences in NCAA Division I and professional hockey, Marah brings a well-rounded approach to coaching and mentorship that goes beyond on-ice skills. She is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, develop strong habits, strengthen their mindset, and learn what it takes to succeed both in hockey and in life. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Bolden developed into one of the top defenders in women’s hockey through elite youth and national development programs before continuing her career at Boston College. During her collegiate career, she became known for her physical presence, offensive instincts, and leadership on the blue line, helping establish herself as one of the premier defensemen in NCAA women’s hockey, serving as a captain her senior year and becoming an All-American. Following college, Bolden went on to play professionally for seven seasons across the NWHL, CWHL and PWHPA, winning 2 Championships, Defensive MVP, Twice Hardest Shot Champion and 4 time All-star. In 2020, she made history as the second woman to scout in the NHL when she joined the Los Angeles Kings scouting department. Her transition from professional athlete to NHL scout and growth specialist marked a groundbreaking moment for hockey and further established her as a respected voice in player evaluation, leadership development, and the future growth of the game. Bolden has now become a prominent hockey analyst, broadcaster, and mentor dedicated to helping the next generation of athletes develop both on and off the ice. Through ESPN, Amazon Prime, media appearances, mentorship programs, and player development initiatives, she combines her experience as an elite athlete with firsthand knowledge of professional hockey operations, mental performance, leadership, and career advancement.
